Abstract

This paper explores the integration of online learning platforms (OLPs) in business education to enhance instructional effectiveness amidst technological advancements. The review begins by highlighting the need for modern educational methods that foster higher-order thinking, problemsolving, and collaborative skills. Major OLPs including Skillshare, Udemy Business, and LinkedIn were analyzed to demonstrate their role in upskilling of students, improving instruction, and enabling educators to monetize courses. Information for the review was gathered from empirical studies, scholarly articles, and industry reports accessed through databases like JSTOR, Google Scholar, and ERIC. Each source was critically assessed, focusing on relevance to business education and OLPs' ability to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. The review employed keywords like "online learning," "business education," "LinkedIn Learning," "Udemy Business," and "Skillshare" and was structured under key subheadings such as "The Need for Modern Educational Methodologies" and "Impact of OLPs on Instructional Delivery." Findings indicate that traditional teaching methods fall short in preparing students for the evolving business environment while OLPs offer relevant skills aligned with industry needs. The study recommends that educators integrate OLPs into their curricula to create a dynamic learning environment that better prepares students for the global marketplace, ultimately enhancing instructional quality and equipping students for career challenges.
